APPOINTMENT PREP

  • FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR A WORRY-FREE TATTOO SESSION

    Not following instructions may result in unexpected issues during your tattoo that can lead to an increase in time therefore an increase in price

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your appointment.

    Eat a Meal: Eat a good meal beforehand to avoid feeling lightheaded.

    Avoid Alcohol: No alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment, as it thins your blood.

    Moisturize Your Skin: Keep the area hydrated leading up to the appointment, but skip lotion the day of & don’t shave the area you’re getting tattooed, it will be prepped during your appointment.

    Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose clothes that allow easy access to the tattoo area and won’t get stained.

    Avoid Sunburns: Keep the area out of direct sun or avoid tanning.

    Limit Caffeine: Excess caffeine can increase sensitivity.

    Bring Entertainment: Bring headphones, a book, or something to help you relax.

    Rest Well: Get a full night’s sleep so your body is ready.

TATTOO AFTERCARE

  • TO ENSURE YOUR TATTOO HEALS AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE

  • Keep It Covered: Leave the saniderm bandage on for 2-24hrs after tattoo. 

    Wash Gently: Wash with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Avoid scrubbing.

    Pat Dry: Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel.

    Apply Recommended Product: Use the aftercare product suggested by your artist (usually a fragrance-free lotion or balm).

    Avoid Submerging: No swimming, soaking, or hot tubs for 2–3 weeks. Showers are fine.

    Don’t Pick or Scratch: Let scabs or peeling skin come off naturally to avoid scarring.

    Avoid Tight Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothes to prevent irritation.

    No Sun Exposure: Protect your tattoo from sunlight while it heals; apply sunscreen after it’s healed NOT WHILE HEALING. 

    Stay Clean: Avoid dirt, sweat, and unsanitary environments while your tattoo heals.

    Follow Up: Contact me if you notice signs of infection or need a touch-up.
